The Little People’s Playhouse Family Childcare

Our childcare business is based on the High Scope Curriculum taught by the Y.M.C.A. We accept part-time and full-time enrollment in the childcare. The children are mentored with love and respect in a non-smoking preschool atmosphere.

The children in our childcare receive quality lunches and snacks prepared according to the food subsidy. We are licensed for 14 children and we have been in business since April of 2002. We accept welfare to work recipients or Cal-Works Stages 1 to 3.

We also accept Sierra Nevada Children’s Network Children. We are conveniently located in Grass Valley next door to the Beam Easy Living Center, the bowling alley, the Community Resource Recovery or The CORR Building. Hennessey School is also located nearby and we offer a morning and afternoon program for school aged children.

We also take the children out on walking field trips. I have 19 early childhood education units. I have also taught in a classroom environment for over 19 years. I have worked at Union Hill School District ’s Bearcat Discovery Program and also at the Redlands , CA. Y.M.C.A. Headstart Program.

I am also a member of the National Association for the Education of Young Children, California Association for the Education of Young Children, Gold Country Association for the Education of Young Children. I am also a Sierra Nevada Children’s Services Network Provider.
